Aderis Pharmaceuticals to Present at BIO 2003 Annual Convention

Company to Webcast Corporate Presentation and Participate in Panels Discussing Clinical Trials and Private Financing

Hopkinton, MA - Jun 17, 2003 - Aderis Pharmaceuticals announced today that the Company will present a corporate overview and participate in two panels during the BIO 2003 Annual Convention, June 22-25 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. BIO 2003 is the world's largest and most comprehensive biotechnology conference, featuring presentations by top biotechnology and pharmaceutical executives, scientists, legislators, regulatory officials and other industry leaders.

Peter Savas, President, CEO and Chairman of Aderis Pharmaceuticals, will present a corporate overview on Tuesday, June 24 at 2:45 p.m. (EST) in room B during the Business Forum. A recording of this presentation will be available through the Company's web site at www.aderis.com. To access the recording, please click on the "News & Events" heading, follow the link to "Presentations & Articles" and scroll down to the BIO 2003 conference information. The recording will be archived for 30 days.

Savas will also participate in a panel entitled "Private Financing in a Tough Climate: Venture Capital Funding for Life Science Companies" on Tuesday, June 24 at 8:45 a.m. (EST) in room 151. The panel will explore current issues and trends in venture capital investments and suggest tactics that companies can use to improve their chances of securing capital. Savas will discuss his experiences raising venture capital, including a $45 million venture round secured for Aderis Pharmaceuticals in the difficult markets of 2001. The panel will also feature Ed Mascioli, M.D., Principal, MPM Capital; Philippe Chambon, M.D., Ph.D., General Partner, The Sprout Group; John Campbell, Partner, Morrison & Foerster, LLP; and Jay Rand, Partner, Morrison & Foerster, LLP.

Additionally, Aderis Pharmaceuticals' Vice President and Chief Medical Officer William Wheeler, M.D., FACC, will participate in the panel "Clinical Trials - Starting Out on the Right Foot" on Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. (EST) in room 147. The panel will provide expert advice for companies planning or beginning clinical trials and will be chaired by Patricia Keegan, Oncology Division, CDER, FDA. Dr. Wheeler will discuss how to design and conduct clinical trials with a partner, speaking from his experience managing six clinical trial programs at Aderis Pharmaceuticals, five of which involve large pharmaceutical partners. The panel will also feature Jean Viallet, M.D., Vice President, Clinical Development, Gemin X Biotechnologies; Guy Gammon, M.B., M.S., MRCP (U.K.), Vice President, Clinical Development, CancerVax Corporation; and Allen Cato, M.D., Ph.D., President & CEO, Cato Research.

Aderis Pharmaceuticals is a private, biopharmaceutical company engaged in small molecule drug development to treat central nervous system, cardiovascular and renal disorders. The Company currently has four product candidates in six clinical development programs.
