Schwarz Pharma Announces – Positive Initial Phase III Results for Rotigotine CDS Patch in Two Trials for Parkinson’s Disease in Early Patients
Comments by Iris Loew-Friedrich of Schwarz Pharma indicate that all primary and secondary endpoints in the two studies were met with statistical significance.
Hopkinton, MA - Oct 27, 2003 - Aderis Pharmaceutical’s partner for rotigotine CDS, Schwarz Pharma, released their 3rd Quarter financial results and commented during Q&A on the initial results of the two completed multinational, pivotal Phase III trials for Parkinson’s disease. According to Schwarz Pharma these results indicate proven safety and efficacy for the once-per-day patch to treat Parkinson’s disease. Following analysis, the complete results of these studies will be discussed in February 2004. Schwarz also moved up the expected filing of their NDA for rotigotine to the third quarter of 2004.
